Chi-Square is a test statistic that can be used to determine relation between two or more variables or familiarly known as test for independence. It can also measure goodness of fit and determining differences between two or more groups. The formula of Chi-Square is square of the difference between observed and expected over expected.
In a contingency table, let say for example (2x2) matrix, in column 1 is denoted as person who suffered from heart attack and in column 2 denoted as person who do not suffer from heart attack, and in row 1 respondents who used aspirin and in row 2 respondents who use placebo.
